Raccoon Valley Radio’s Caring Christmas Food Drive continues next week with a new location almost every day. On Monday from 3-5pm, RVR’s Big Red Radio will be at Hometown Foods in Guthrie Center. The Lil’ Big Red Radio will be at Paton Community School in Paton from 9-11am Tuesday. The Big Red Radio will then make its way to the Perry Lutheran Home’s Spring Valley Campus in Perry from 4-6pm on Wednesday.

Big Red will return to Guthrie County as it makes a stop at Hometown Foods in Stuart from 3-5pm on Thursday. The drives finish Saturday, December 16th in Jefferson and Winterset. The Big Red Radio will be at the Jefferson HyVee from 9-11am and Lil’ Big Red will be at the Winterset HyVee from 10am-noon.

At each food drive, non-perishable food items are donated to that community’s food pantry. As a “thank you” to those who donate, those who provide non-perishable food items during the drive will have their name entered into a drawing to win $1,000 as part of our Christmas Cash Giveaway. During our remote broadcasts, Big Red Radio will be there playing live music and giving updates.
