The 2017-18 Greene County High School boys’ basketball team went 12-11 this season and the Rams are a combined 26-19 in head coach Chris Nelson’s first two seasons. One of the hallmarks of his first two Greene County teams is the number of seniors out for the sport last year and this season and the coach explains. “In two years we’ve had 18 seniors, and that’s pretty awesome. We tell them that once they’re a part of our program, they’re always a part of it. It was really cool to see a good chunk of last year’s seniors at our game last Thursday at Des Moines Christian out supporting us, and they’ve done that the whole year.”
The coach added, “It’s great to see those guys be a part of our program, and still want to stay close to the program once they’re done playing here.”
Seniors on this year’s team were Wade Adcock, Ben Bravard, Joe Towers, Jordan Patterson, Ben Wilkens, Kyle Peters, Logan Lawson, Austin Easterlie, Garrett Swain, and Terrance Bingley.
