As the calendar gets ready to turn to March tomorrow, the West Central Valley boys track team is already preparing for the upcoming season. Practice started last week for first-year head boys track coach Eric Addy, who says around 25 student-athletes have been showing up for easy season workouts. Addy says among the returners who’ll make an impact this spring is senior Brock Wolfe. Wolfe qualified for the Class 2A State Track and Field Meet last spring in the long jump, placing 15th overall with a leap of 18′ 11″. The West Central Valley boys track team opens their season at the Earlham Early Bird Invitational featuring athletes from Earlham, Grand View Christian, Iowa Christian Academy, Panorama, Saydel, and Van Meter.
