The Stuart Public Library is gearing up for its own version of spring cleaning near the end of this week. The People Active for Library Services (PALS) will be hosting a used book sale at the library this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during normal library hours.

A large variety of books, audio books, movies, and CDs will be sold. Categories of books include: adult fiction, Christian fiction, non-fiction, biographies, and self-help. Most of the books are regular print, but there will be some large print. Adult and young adult hardcover books are $2, soft cover books are $1 and paperbacks are $.25. Hardcover children’s books are $2, small books are $1 and a bag of books are $5. All audio books are $5 and all movies and CDs are $1.

PALS President Carol Brewer talks about the impact the sale has on the library. “Coming to the book sale is more than just buying a book. It’s really showing your support for the library. That’s what we need…We’d like for everyone to come and support the library.”

Brewer says any items not sold will be donated to various community organizations. All proceeds go back to the library to purchase new books. To hear more about the sale and the PALS organization, listen to tomorrow’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.
