The chilly beginning to April in Iowa is continuing to affect early season high school track and field competitions all across the state.The Panorama Track program has lost three outdoor contests already this spring due to weather conditions, including tonight’s Coon Rapids-Bayard meet at AC/GC High School in Guthrie Center. Panorama also canceled their annual track meet, the Kip Janvrin Invitational, Tuesday night due to weather concerns. The Panthers only night of outside competition came one week ago in Perry at the Gail Davis Relays. Panorama’s girls track team won 10 individual events, taking the team title with 167 points. The Panorama boys track team placed fourth overall with 96. The Panther track teams hope to resume their season on Tuesday, April 10, competing in the Earlham Invitational. The meet features athletes from Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, Colo-NESCO, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Des Moines Christian, Earlham, Exira-Elk-Horn-Kimballton, Harlan, Iowa Christian Academy, Nodaway Valley, Orient-Macksburg, Southeast Warren, Van Meter, and West Central Valley.
