Don’t forget, there are a host of activities going on this weekend with Dallas County Conservation.
Today from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Forest Park Museum, Conservation is hosting an event on art and skulls. The “Skull Sketching” program will be run by Naturalist “Critter” Cindy Blobaum and local artist Teena Case. Attendees are encouraged to bring graphite pencils and a sketchbook. Tomorrow there will be two more events, as long as the weather permits them. The first is from 2-4 p.m. at the Kuehn Conservation Area, and it will be a continuation of the summer series on Monarch Butterfly habitats. The focus of the program will be on site planning and preparation. The second event tomorrow is a family fishing program at the Glissman Conservation Area from 4:30-6:30 p.m., held in conjunction with Iowa Free Fishing Weekend.
There is no cost to take part in any of this weekend’s events, but pre-registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, contact Dallas County Conservation at 515-465-3577.
