With the halfway point of the 2018 Greene County High School softball team approaching, head coach Tom Kennedy talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about what he’s seen from his team (3-7, 3-2) to this point, and what may lie ahead. “I think our pitching is really coming along, and I think we have a chance to be a really good defensive team, but like every team, we’re going to have nights where we just can’t catch and throw like we should. I think we have defensive ability. I think we can be a solid hitting team, so if we continue to keep moving up, we have a chance to get better and better as the year goes on, then be a pretty good team by the end of the year.”
Greene County ended last week on a positive with a 10-3 victory in Monroe over Heart of Iowa Activities Conference rival PCM. The Rams host South Hamilton (Jewell) tonight at the City diamond on East Lincolnway, weather permitting.
