Today is Flag Day, and the Rowley Masonic Community is paying the American flag homage with a special program for veterans.
Rowley is partnering with Kindred Hospice for the event, which will include the unveiling of their new Veterans Wall, located outside the Theater Room in the main hall. There will be a dedication ceremony today at 2 p.m., during which a color guard will present the American flag in the Great Room and the 18 veteran residents of Rowley will be honored. There will be a pinning ceremony and prayer offered to each of them, as well as a certificate from Kindred Hospice. Following that, Rowley will unveil the Veterans Wall, which will be a permanent installation that includes photos displayed of each branch of service.
The ceremony is free and the public is encouraged to attend, and there will also be refreshments provided. For more information, contact the Rowley Masonic Community at 515-465-5316.
