Two quality pitching performances led the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers baseball team to a pair of wins inside the Raccoon River Conference Monday night. The Tigers traveled to Slater last night for two league contests against the Ballard Bombers at Nite Hawk Field. The Tigers used complete-game pitching performances from junior Logan Crannell and senior Nick Dufoe to sweep the Bombers, winning game one, 4-3, and game two, 1-0. Crannell pitched all seven innings of game one, allowing three earned runs, walking one and striking out five in the victory. Seniors Grant Curran, Dalton Hews, Nick Lindgren and Dufoe each drove in a run in the game one victory. Dufoe took the ball in game two, allowing two hits in a complete game shutout. He walked one and struck out five Bomber batters in the game two victory. The pair of wins ties ADM’s longest winning streak of the season at three games, improving their overall mark to 10-14. Lewis Central had to cancel today’s nonconference game with ADM to make up a conference contest. The Tigers resume their season on Thursday, traveling to Van Meter for a nonconference contest against the Bulldogs.
