The “Libraries Rock” Summer Reading Program at the Adel Public Library is nearing its conclusion, but there’s still several events coming up this month.

First, this Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the library, the Science Center of Iowa will be presenting a program on Global Soundscapes. The event will feature several activities that deal with sound, which will change the way you hear the Earth. Next, on Wednesday, July 18th at 11 a.m. in the community room, the library will be hosting a sing-a-long to the music of the popular Disney movie, “Frozen.” The Summer Reading Program finale will be held on Monday, July 26th at 10:30 a.m. It will feature the comedian and musician, Duke Otherwise. The library will also host one last event in July, where they will celebrate the birthday of “Harry Potter” on Tuesday, July 31st at 10:30 a.m.

As a reminder, the weekly kid’s programs, including “Wee Read” and “Wee Sing,” will conclude for the summer the week of July 16th. They will resume once fall programming starts after Labor Day. For more information on these and other events, stop into the library or visit AdelPL.org.
