New Perry City Council

The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

First on the agenda is a public hearing on a general obligation loan agreement regarding the City’s new garbage trucks and trash cans. The loan would be for $400,000, and paid for through local option sales tax funds. Following the public hearing, the Council will consider a resolution approving the agreement. After that, they will consider the first pay request from InRoads Paving for the asphalt overlay project on Park Street.

In new business, the Council will discuss several resolutions, including: entering into a contract with the Region XII Council of Governments for assistance in submitting a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for housing rehabilitation; approval of a grant application through the Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP) program; and setting the date and time for the Perry Trick or Treat Night. Finally, the Council will consider a professional service agreement with Bolton and Menk for the Wastewater Treatment Facility improvement project.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
