The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board approved a bid from Midwest Overhead Garage Doors of Granger for $5,674 for two new garage doors at the County Transfer Station. Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson says these doors will include windows, which will allow for additional light into the building.
County Engineer Josh Sebern also discussed the ongoing bridge replacement project at County Road N46 near Coon Rapids. The Board approved an agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation to move forward with the project. County Attorney Mary Benton informed the Board that her office is working several hours of overtime as their caseload increases. She says she might need to secure extra help, but not enough to hire additional staff. The Board concluded the meeting by approving various tax credit and exemption applications and a quarterly expense report of the prevention program through New Opportunities Incorporated.
