During the first two weeks of the high school football season, the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers faced off against run-first opponents. The Bondurant-Farrar and Perry Bluejay football squads combined for 17 total points in their setbacks to ADM, stopping short of the line of scrimmage 20 times. ADM will see a new offensive gameplan tonight when they travel across Interstate 80 for a nondistrict matchup against the Grinnell Tigers. First-year head coach of ADM Garrison Carter told Raccoon Valley Radio that Grinnell will run most of their offensive plays out of a spread formation. “It will be the first offense we’ve seen where they’ll throw it more than they’ll run it as us,” Carter said, “They’re going to do a little of the stuff we do tempo-wise. It’ll be no-huddle and trying to play with speed offensively so our kids will have to react to that.”

Senior Drew Coffman has shown dual threat ability as Grinnell’s starting quarterback. Coffman’s accounted for 446 yards of total offense and five touchdowns (three passing), throwing 59 passes through the first two games. Drew’s brother, sophomore Owen Coffman, has two touchdown catches and 70 total receiving yards. Grinnell enters the game with a 1-1 overall record under first-year head coach Brian Sauser. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will have live play by play coverage of tonight’s week three game between ADM and Grinnell on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app. The Veteran Powersports & Equipment Pregame Show starts our live coverage at 7 p.m. and kickoff set for around 7:30 p.m. from Grinnell High School.
