The West Central Valley varsity football team couldn’t register their first victory of the 2018 season Friday night. The Wildcats lost to the Southwest Valley Timberwolves in a nondistrict clash in Stuart, 20-18. West Central Valley head football coach Eric Addy told Raccoon Valley Radio that the game became a home contest for the Wildcats due to poor playing conditions at the Timberwolves field caused by heavy rains. Addy shared that all 18 points scored came off three touchdown connections between quarterback Carson Wadle and receiver Cole Arnburg. The loss drops West Central Valley’s football team to 0-3. The Wildcats resume their season next Friday in Greenfield against the Nodaway Valley Wolverines.
