Greene County RamsThe Greene County School Board will meet twice tonight.

The Board will hold a work session starting at 5:15pm. The Board will review their action plans for their goals for the 2018-19 school year. No action items are to take place during the work session.

The regular meeting will then begin at 6pm. The meeting will start with the retiring board agenda. It will begin with a closed session for a student discipline hearing, with possible action to follow in open session. The Board will then consider for approval the second reading for new board policies for advertising and promotion, along with a policy on drone usage. Under the new board agenda, there will be the election of the board president and vice-president, followed by board committee assignments, an appointment of a delegate to the Iowa School Board Association and setting up the meeting time, place and dates for the 2018-19 school board meetings.

Other items that Board will consider for approval include: the 2017-18 certified annual report, the special education supplement and transportation reports; the allowable growth request for the special education deficit, fundraiser requests, action plans for the board goals from the work session, an allowable growth request for excess limited English Proficient Expenditures, lease agreements for the Rippey baseball field and parking lots and the FFA Chapter attending the National FFA Convention. Additionally, the Board will discuss the Teacher Quality Professional Development Committee.

The meetings will take place in the conference room of the administrative building in Jefferson.
