The Dallas County Secondary Roads Department is about to begin a patching project on County Road P58, which will cause it to be closed to through traffic.

Starting on Monday, October 1st, a four-mile section of the road between CR F51 and Highway 44 will be open to local traffic only. County Engineer Al Miller tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they will work on one lane at the time, with alternating traffic signs around individual patches. He says this will allow local traffic access while work is progressing, including farm implements and school buses. They will work in one-mile segments, and hope to be done within two weeks, pending any weather delays.

Anyone with questions about this or other current projects is encouraged to reach out to the Secondary Roads Department at 515-993-4289.
