Rainfall will continue in the Raccoon River Valley area through Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, heavy and prolonged periods of rainfall will continue over Greene, Dallas and Guthrie counties bringing possibly several more inches of precipitation. The National Weather Service reports on Friday that Perry saw 0.07-inches of rainfall and Guthrie Center recorded 0.10-inches of rainfall. There was no information available for Jefferson.

Rainfall amounts that are expected from today through Wednesday are between four to six-inches of additional rainfall in all three of our counties. The additional rainfall could cause periods of flash flooding and river flooding. Listen to Raccoon Valley Radio for all of our weather-related updates.
