The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Board met Wednesday in regular session.

The meeting began with the introduction of Tracey Deal as the new board member.

JPRD Director Vicky Lautner then discussed plans for the upcoming 20th anniversary event for the Greene County Community Center. She said the event will be held on November 16th from 3 to 10pm. Activities include beach volleyball, along with tours, an obstacle course and some examples of different classes offered. The community center will be available for anyone to use for free during that weekend as well.

Board members Lee Horbach and Rosemary Hoyt agreed to be on the budget committee, and the Board approved a request from Greene County Relay for Life to use the entire gym for their main event on April 27, 2019.
