The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors convened in regular session Tuesday.

The meeting began with an annual report on the county libraries from Stuart Public Library Director Lisa Sherman. Sherman mentioned the new services provided this year were digital periodicals and wifi hotspots available for a free check out at the Menlo Public Library. The hotspots provide wireless internet for library cardholders, and the library charges a fee and can turn off the hotspot’s service for those that are overdue. In order to stay up-to-date with technology such as the possibility of purchasing hotspots for other County libraries, the library directors requested a $10,000 increase in funding for fiscal year 2019-2020. No action was taken on the request.

Following a discussion of various appointments, the Supervisors will contact the current trustees, clerks, and board members in their respective areas to see who would like to be reappointed.
