Guthrie County 4-H members are reminded of an important event for the 2019 fair season.

The 4-H beef weigh-in takes place from 9:30 a.m.-noon today at the Guthrie County Livestock Auction on South 3rd Street in Guthrie Center. All lead market beef, steers and heifers, feeder pens, and market return bucket calves must be weighed and verified for entry in the county fair, state fair, and the Aksarben Stock Show. All county fair cattle must have ear tags, which cost $2. A $5 retinal imaging fee is required for the state fair, in addition to the ear tag. Cattle showing at Aksarben also costs $5 per head.
