A reminder that volunteers are needed for interior demolition work at the new location for the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC) in Jefferson.

Following the purchase of the former Clark Plumbing and Heating building at 1006 North Vine Street, there’s lots of work to be done to convert it into a workable space for a food pantry. Some of the demolition projects include: removing carpet, walls, and vinyl flooring. Volunteers are needed from 9am to mid-afternoon this Monday and Tuesday.

Volunteers are asked to wear gloves and sturdy shoes and to dress appropriately since the building will have no heat. Volunteers are welcome to bring tools such as crowbars and hammers to help make the work go smoother. While work is being done at the new location, the current location on Harrison Street will continue to operate as the food pantry.
