Several awards were received by Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School students at the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa last week.

Junior Hailey Kintz received the $100 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association Award, the $50 Clean Energy Award, the Yale Young Engineering Award, and second place in the engineering category. Freshman Tommy Bates received honorable mention in the chemistry category. This is the second science fair ACGC has attended this year, as Kintz and freshman Alyssa Byars recently qualified to attend the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair at the Western Iowa Science and Engineering Fair on March 16th. Kintz will be competing as a finalist, and Byars will be an observer at the international fair in Phoenix, Arizona this May.
