It was a tough night for the highly ranked Perry boys soccer team as the Bluejays fell to Des Moines Lincoln 5-0 in non-conference soccer action at Dewey Field.  The Railsplitters jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead and the Bluejays couldn’t respond.  “It was one of those nights,” said head coach Gary Overla.  “You have one of those nights once in a while where nothing goes right.”

Perry falls to 10-6 following the loss and will look to rebound Thursday for senior night against Pella.  It will be the final regular season game for Perry before diving into postseason play next week.  Despite the second half struggles, Perry earned a home field advantage throughout the playoffs due to a strong start at the beginning of the season.
