Several roads throughout Dallas County are currently under construction, which is leading to some disruption for through traffic.
The Iowa Department of Transportation is working on projects to three of the primary highways through the County, with no definitive completion date at this time. First, Interstate 80 eastbound is reduced to one lane between Des Moines and Earlham, while westbound is one lane between Des Moines and Dexter. Further north, Highway 169 north of Minburn is one lane for a few miles, with a flagger and pilot vehicle taking motorists through the area. Also, Highway 141 through Perry is one lane in either direction in the four-lane section, and one lane with a flagger in the two-lane area up until Dawson. Finally, the City of Perry is working on a sewer project today that has Willis Avenue closed between 15th and 16th streets until 4 p.m.
