Several fire crews, including some from Greene County, battled a major downtown fire in Ogden Saturday night.
Sources say fire crews responded to the call around 8pm of the Ogden Market that was on fire on West Walnut Street. Fire crews that provided mutual aid included Jefferson, Grand Junction and Paton Fire Departments. Jefferson Fire Chief Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio they were paged at 9:21pm to help the Boone and Ogden Fire Departments.
Williams says when they arrived on scene, just the frame of the buildings were left standing. The Jefferson Fire Department provided three trucks and personnel. No one was injured in the incident from Greene County and they were on scene for two hours.
Sources say the investigation is ongoing at this time to determine the cause of the fire.
