A Guthrie Center man charged with domestic abuse assault-third offense, a class D felony, recently had his probation revoked.

According to Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird, 43-year-old Tony Lynn Young had his probation revoked on October 28th, while Judge Thomas P. Murphy imposed the original sentence for the March 18th conviction. He’s been sentenced to 365 days in Guthrie County Jail. Young’s probation violations included not complying to a substance abuse evaluation, sporadic attendance at Iowa Domestic Abuse Program classes, and a new charge of domestic abuse-third offense for a September 1st incident, followed by a violation of his no contact order on September 4th.
