The City of Yale is seeking to fill a vacant Council seat following the resignation of Brandon Godwin.

Those interested in serving on the City Council must submit a letter of interest to City Hall, P.O. Box 97, Yale, IA 50277, by noon on April 6th. The Council expects to appoint a successor at their regular monthly meeting on April 7th. The remainder of the Council term would be filled until the next regular election on November 2, 2021. Residents also have the right to file a petition for the vacancy to be filled by a special election. This petition must be filed with the City Clerk by March 26th. Number of signatures on the petition must equal 15 percent of those who voted in the last regular election with no less than 10.
