adm-7

The ADM softball team will be focused on a lot of different things to build upon their 28-7 record from a year ago, and one of the things that made their offense work so well last year was the teams ability to get on base. ADM as a whole did a great job of getting on base during the 2019 season, as a team getting on at a .400 clip, or approximately 4 out of every 10 times.

Ten different ADM players had at least 65 ABs or more, and 9 out of 10 were able to reach base at above a .300 clip, led by the uber talented senior Abbie Hlas who recorded a staggering .643. With the ability to get up base all the time, ADM was able to average 5.51 runs per game, which was one of the best marks in the Raccoon River Conference and in the state as well.

Getting on base became well know after the book Moneyball came out many years ago, but one thing that we can learn from this Tigers team last year, was they can great success of getting on base, which in turn helped them have a great year.
