A Bayard man has been given a deferred judgment for an offense that occurred in July of 2019.

Court documents show that 19-year-old Conner Michael Weatherly filed written guilty pleas to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a class D felony, and knowingly keeping a dwelling for use of controlled substances, an aggravated misdemeanor. District Court Judge Tom Murphy gave Weatherly the deferred judgment to be placed on two years probation for each charge to be served concurrently. He must pay over $1,600 in civil penalties, surcharges, and other costs.

On July 14th, 2019 the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Weatherly’s residence in the 200 block of 3rd Street, where they found marijuana, scales, cash, and drug paraphernalia. Weatherly admitted to law enforcement that he had been selling marijuana in Bayard for the last few months.
