The public is reminded of a Menlo family that’s hosting an inaugural social event to raise funds for Huntington’s disease.

The Jensen family is hosting Cruisin’ for a Cure, which welcomes those with motorcycles, classic cars, sports cars, and other vehicles to venture around Guthrie, Adair, Madison, and Dallas counties, enjoy local eateries, and raise funds for the rare inherited disease for which there currently is no treatment to prevent the physical, mental, and behavioral decline it causes for those diagnosed. The event will begin with registration at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Shorts Place in Menlo, and will eventually return to the Miller residence at 110 Sherman Street in Menlo for a family friendly event from 6-11 p.m. which will include food from the Soulshine Food Truck for a freewill donation, the Karl Chevrolet ice cream truck, live music, kids games, pie auction and 50/50 raffle drawing, and a showing of Disney’s “Cars.” More information on the event is included here.
