One person was injured from a two vehicle collision that occurred in Guthrie County last Thursday.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at about 2:18 p.m. on Zenith Avenue. Fifty-three year-old Lee Jon Boysen of Odebolt was attempting to pull a Ford F250 pickup truck attached to an enclosed trailer out of a private drive to turn south onto Zenith Avenue. Boysen failed to yield and pulled out in front of a farm straight truck carrying silage driven by 24-year-old Ryan Michael Gross of Linden. Gross’ vehicle impacted the rear of the trailer and both vehicles struck several trees before coming to a rest in the west ditch. Gross’ vehicle overturned onto its side. Gross was uninjured and Boysen was transported by Stuart Emergency Medical Services to Iowa Methodist Medical Center for suspected minor injuries. Boysen was cited for driving while suspended and failing to yield upon entering a roadway.
