The West Central Valley School District is taking some humor from current events for their homecoming theme this week.
The District is celebrating a “Stay at Home-coming” with dress up days of “Make Yourself at Home” – meaning wear comfy clothes or pajamas – on Monday, Tuesday is “Home Run” where students can wear sports gear or jerseys, Wednesday is “Game of Homes” where each school building will wear a chosen color in a color war competition, Thursday is “Home Away from Home” in which vacation or destination-themed clothes are worn, and Friday is “Welcome Home” where students will wear Wildcat spirit gear. There will be no school sponsored parade, pep rally, or dance this year in order to keep students, staff, and community members safe during the current pandemic, and the king and queen will be crowned during halftime of the home football game versus the Panorama Panthers.
