Christopher O. Lane, 49, of Adel, passed away at his home on September 28, 2020.
Christopher was born on November 22, 1970 and was the oldest son of the late Ret. SGM Larry O. Lane.
He was a pillar of the Lane Family after his father’s passing in 2014.
He was a great son, brother, father and uncle. He was proud to be a father to his son, Dylan. He was his
pride and joy and was the best dad to him. He loved spending time with family, loved his job, loved life,
was a friend to many and loved by all. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Christopher enjoyed many things in life. He found joy in target shooting with guns and watching military
movies. Chris liked working in his garden and was also a great cook, something he had learned from his
dad. Above all, he was a big Raiders fan and wouldn’t miss a game.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Larry O. Lane; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Goldie Lane; son, Dylan Lane; brothers, Patrick Lane, Matthew (Manda)
Lane, and Andrew (Jessie) Lane; nephew, Lou Jurgensen; niece, Dani Mae Lane; and his previous wife,
Traci Gordon.
A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 409 S 9 th St,
Adel, Iowa 50003.
