West Central Volleyball has been putting up some excellent numbers as of late during their recent winning streak, but unfortunately that came to a close last night with WCAC leader Van Meter sweeping the Wildcats three sets to none, 25-16, 25-11, 25-20.

The Wildcats weren’t able to get as much footing as they would’ve liked in sets one and two, with the Bulldogs able to play some good defensive volleyball, while also picking their spots offensively and able to score that way as well. The crowd got into the third set with the Wildcats finally started to look like the team thats been great the last month, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough with the Bulldogs able to walk out with the win.

The Wildcats drop to 12-11 on the season while Van Meter ups their own winning streak of seven, and now is 13-3.

The Wildcats will be on the road next week with scheduled games against Pleasantville and Grand View Christian, as they will continue to get prepared for playoffs in the near future.
