A Greene County High School graduate starting for a Power 5 football program in a bowl game doesn’t happen often-if ever- before Wednesday when 2020 graduate Tyler Miller started at left tackle for the Iowa State Cyclones in the Cheez-It Bowl in Florida. The Cyclones lost to Clemson 20-13 and Miller made the most of his first career start.

Caden Duncan is the Greene County head football coach and he talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about the redshirt freshman not only starting, but at such a key position in the offensive line. “It was great to see Tyler out there for Iowa State. It was an amazing opportunity for him and I know he’s worked hard. He’s obviously very big (6′ 9″, 320 lbs.) and a very talented young man and they think very highly of him, so they were great reps that he got and I thought he did really well.”

ISU finished with seven wins and six losses.
