Dallas Center – Grimes boys and girls basketball came back from holiday break on Tuesday night to take on Pella Christian, and both were able to win with relative ease with the girls picking up win number eight with a 52-34 score, and the boys continuing their undefeated season winning by the score of 73-40.

The girls were once again able to get a strong start out of the gate as they lead 16-8 after one quarter of play and 30-14 at halftime in a strong defensive showing once again. They forced Pella Christian into a good amount of turnovers throughout the night, and played for the most part well throughout the night after having the time off.

There was no messing around from the boys throughout the night, as their starting five was able to run excellent transition offense to get the victory, and also find sharp defense throughout the night as well.

Both of these teams will return to the court later in the week, but were able to start off on the right foot after the long break.
