The Stuart Chamber of Commerce held its regular monthly meeting Wednesday afternoon and elected Cheryl Marks to the vacant vice-president position.

The Chamber also discussed the results from the Egg on the Shelf campaign for 2020. Members discussed the Chamber’s position about potentially running the Saints Center and reviewed the letter to be submitted at the next City Council meeting.

Then, they discussed revising beautification procedures with artificial flowers instead of natural ones. The decision will be made by a committee at a later date. The Chamber discussed its storage unit purchase and will plan a group day to move items into the unit to be used at a later date. They also discussed whether or not to purchase insurance on the storage unit, but tabled a decision pending insurance quotes.
