The Perry School Board approved a bus bid at a special meeting Monday.

The Board approved the bid for a new bus for $107,000, which does not include trade-in and discounts. The bus will be almost identical to the one they most recently purchased in the past with a few minor changes. Also, the Board approved the resignation of Ana Oliver a middle school special education para-educator.

Finally, the Board discussed the timeline and logistics of the upcoming middle school renovation project. The project is currently advertising for bids. The Board also discussed where all the furniture, computers, and other items would go while the renovation is being completed and doing all they can to make sure the contractors can get the project done on the planned timeline.

The hopes are for contractors to begin working on the project on June 1st and they could even begin working on the middle school media center over spring break.
