A Des Moines couple have been arrested in Dallas County for an alleged December incident.

According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, Justin and Amanda Gerlach face charges of Class C Felonies for first-degree theft, Class D Felonies for second-degree criminal mischief and misdemeanors for trespass resulting in injury or damage greater than $300. 

The charges stem from an incident on December 12th. Sheriff Chad Leonard says the Gerlachs stole a UTV gator from Van Wall in Perry and the vehicle was later found in Bouton. The Sheriff’s office reports that Amanda has been released from the Dallas County Jail, while Justin remains in jail under a $20,000 bond.
