The Fiber Art Fair event in Perry by Art on the Prairie is going to look a little different this year due to the pandemic.

Art on the Prairie Committee Member Lynsi Pasutti says this year instead of being a one day event, the celebration will be taking place all month in May. Pasutti says they felt more comfortable spacing things out.

“Every component of what the Fiber Art Fair would be we are doing in some capacity throughout the whole month.”

Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio there will be plenty of things to shop for during the month at local Perry businesses. Pasutti says there are plenty of things for everyone to take part in during the month of May including in-person and virtual classes.

“We just felt let’s pick this back up let’s try out this fiber art month and so we can still do the things that we like to do, supporting the artists that are creating and producing work and showing it off to the community.”

Pasutti says there are pros and cons to changing the event but there are also many great opportunities to be had.
