Anyone looking for something new this spring and summer, or perhaps a gift for Mother’s Day can stop out to the City of Panora.

The Panora Chamber of Commerce is hosting its monthly “Be Local” event today. Board Vice President Kristin Rummelhart says they are continuing with a recent change to the number of days that the monthly event happens.

“We have changed it from the second Friday to the next weekend, to allow businesses that are not necessarily open on the weekends to participate. What you can look for is either check out the Chamber Facebook page or you can go to the individual business’ Facebook pages to see what kinds of stuff that they’re up to.”

Rummelhart encourages everyone to shop local this weekend and find that special gift for Mother’s Day.
