adm-7

Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys soccer was able to pick up the victory on Tuesday afternoon down in Des Moines, as the Tigers were able to execute some big plays down the stretch winning by the score of 2-1 over Pella. ADM continues on their season at 15-4 while Pella closes the season at 15-5.

In a game that was tough throughout the day, ADM was able to come through with some clutch moments, starting at 38:05 in the first half when the Tigers grabbed a lead with a Josh Pike goal, assisted by Jacob Yanacek, as ADM was able to strike early. Pella was able to get some excellent opportunities throughout the half but couldn’t score, as ADM went into the locker room up 1-0. Pella would equalized early in the second half when the Tigers looked like they had the save, but a flukey play and a weird bounce the ball took allowed Issac Semini to bury in the back of the net. The Tigers would take the lead for good at 18:01, with Pike and Yanacek working together again, as Pike timed his run perfectly, and Yanacek had a beautiful drive and assist to propel the Tigers over the top.

For ADM, they have a tough matchup waiting for them tomorrow in Xavier, Cedar Rapids. The contest will be happening once again at Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines with kick off time to be at 2:30. You can listen to the game on the home of Tiger sports, True Country K1079.
