Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Golf competed in the second and final day of the girls state golf tournament at River Valley Golf Course, as they were able to grab a sixth place finish with a team score of +203 through both rounds.
Throughout the two day round, the Tigers were able to get some big performances out of Anna West, who shot an 89 on the second day to complete a two day total of 189, good for 25th place. Emma Mellencamp finished in a tie for 28th after a mark of 192, firing a 91 on her day. Liv Rickert finished 34th with a 197 total. Monica Thomas finished with a 202, and Celie Gardiner a 214, as Tiger golfers finished strong against some of the states best.
The result is a tremendous one for the Tigers as they saw some incredible improvement throughout the season, and got a result that will definitely be considered a success this year. The Tigers will be losing two impactful seniors off of their roster in Liv Rickert and Anna West, but return a talented nucleus for next year’s team as they will be looking for similar results.
