Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys soccer will be looking to continue to advance in the 2A state semifinals today, when they take on Xavier High School out of Cedar Rapids in what is anticipated to be a great game.
The Tigers walk into the matchup as the five seed and a 15-4 record overall, while Xavier comes in at 13-5 and the number one seed overall. Both teams are coming off of impressive wins on Tuesday, with the Tigers grabbing the win by the mark of 2-1 over Pella, and Xavier a 1-0 winner over Marion.
For ADM, they will be taking on a team that is battle tested throughout the season in Xavier, but both sides have stars at the forward positions while also have elite defenders and excellent goalkeeping as well. For Tiger athletics, they will have to limit mistakes, as Xavier has been good at making opponents feel uncomfortable all season long, but ADM has been able to handle pressure well as every turn.
Tiger soccer will be broadcast over the air on the home of Tiger athletics True Country K1079, game coverage will begin at 2:15 with kickoff from Cownie Park in Des Moines will be at 2:30.
