wcv-10

The early season woes came to end for the Wildcats Softball team Wednesday night. WCV picked up their first win of the season in dominating fashion.

The Wildcats were tied with Southeast Valley at 1 at the end of the 1st inning. WCV would benefit from two back-to-back solid innings giving them a 6-1 lead heading into 4th. WCV would ride that momentum to 9-2 win over the Timberwolves.

Sophomore Kinzie Alt led the way offensively for WCV. She went 3 for 3 at bat on the day, hitting three singles. Also offensively Sophomore Kamryn Nourse led the team with 3 RBIs. Sophomore Marissa Hagen got the win pitching. She was up against 38 at bats and allowed only one run.

The Wildcats will be back in action again today in a double header against Pleasantville. The first pitch is at 5:30PM.
