Both baseball and softball will be taking on Van Meter in double-headers today. Both teams are coming off losses to ACGC. Baseball lost 18-7 and softball lost 11-4. Now both teams will look a head to tough Van Meter teams.

The Bulldogs will be coming into their softball matchup with a 11-4 record to WCV’s 4-6 record. The Wildcats will have their hands full against Sophomore Pitcher Macy Blomgren. In the eight games that she’s started she has a 6-1 record. She’s recorded an impressive 68 strikeouts this season and an ERA of 1.6. Wildcats will have to lean on batters like Sophomore Kinzie Alt to lead them to victory. First Pitch is at 5:30PM at home

The Bulldogs baseball team will enter their game with a 9-1 record. WCV baseball will have to battle a very strong Van Meter team. Senior Pitcher Zach Pleggenkuhle is undefeated in the three games he’s started with an ERA of 0.70. Sophomore Blaise Bean will look to do some damage to that average. He leads the team with 7 hits and 5 Runs. First Pitch is at 5PM at home.
