The West Central Valley baseball season ending last week. Here’s a look at the 2021 season by the numbers.

Just like every other statistical category, WCV continued to show improvement. This time they showed strides in every category including fielding. For starters, the Wildcats were getting more batters out in 2021. They had 460 putouts as a team versus last year’s 91. Sophomore Kaedon Lindsay led the team with 119 putouts. WCV also improved as a team with assists, putting together 150 as a team. Last year they had 86. Freshman Landon Osberg led the team with 35.

Once again despite the record, WCV still showed improvement across the board. This young team will look to build on that for 2022.
