adm-7

ADM Tigers baseball was able to punch their ticket to the state baseball tournament in Iowa City, and found out about their opponent yesterday as they will be taking on the Indians of Marion in first round action in Iowa City.

Marion is the top overall seed of the tournament with a 34-6 record, dominating competition throughout the season as they have been able to outscore opponents in the postseason 36-3. Marion has one of the best offenses in all of 3A, as they are putting up a remarkable 10.5 runs per game, and are continuing to churn out outstanding at bats. ADM walks in as a 12-17 mark and is the 8 seed, after making a remarkable run through the postseason that included two top 10 wins over 3A opponents in their run. The Tigers offense has been hot the last few games, putting up 27 runs in their three game stretch.

This is the first time that these two opponents have met since at least 2008, and it should be a unique challenge for both teams as both are not accustomed to tendencies that both have.

The first pitch time for next Wednesday will be at 1:30. You can listen to all ADM postseason coverage on True Country K1079, the KKRF app, and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
