It’s been a busy summer for many Greene County High School athletes. Some have played softball or baseball, while many of those athletes, have joined many others in early morning workouts for much of the past two months. Head football coach and strength and conditioning coach Caden Duncan and other staff members have risen early at least three days a week to conduct the workouts.
Duncan said next week is “Family Week” or a no-workout period. He told Raccoon Valley Radio many schools will be conducting camps for the various fall sports the week of August 2, so next week is a chance for families to vacation, or for athletes to take a break from workouts.
Official Fall sports practices in Iowa high schools, including Greene County, begin in just over two weeks, on Monday, August 9.
