A Grand Junction man was arrested twice this past weekend.

According to court documents, Jefferson Police Officers responded to a call at 4:14am Saturday of a home reportedly being destroyed by an individual in the 800 block of West Adams Street. During the investigation, the victims told officers that 21-year-old Casey Kennedy was a guest in the home and he started acting out. Kennedy allegedly broke 3-4 windows of the home and damaged or destroyed several pieces of furniture. Kennedy was arrested without further incident and was charged with a Class D Felony for second degree criminal mischief.

Once Kennedy was booked into the Greene County Jail, he was then released under his own recognizance.

The other incident took place on Sunday at a home in the 400 block of 16th Street North in Grand Junction. A Greene County Deputy and an Iowa State Patrol Trooper responded to an assault incident. During the investigation, the victims suffered injuries consistent with an assault. Kennedy was then arrested and charged with two serious misdemeanors for domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. He was booked and released from jail under his own recognizance. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
